Classification and remuneration of NT Government boards
Remuneration and other entitlements for members of statutory bodies are set by the Administrator of the Northern Territory (NT).
They must be published under the Assembly Members and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Other Entitlements) Act 2006.
For remuneration purposes, boards are classified into classes and sub-classes:
- Class A: Governing and management bodies
- Class B: Quasi-judicial bodies
- Class C: Advisory and review bodies.
Under section 10(1) of the Act, the responsible Minister for a statutory body decides which class the body belongs.
