Northern Territory Register of Lobbyists
The Northern Territory Government has established a governing framework to strengthen the regulation of lobbyists. This includes the introduction of a Lobbying Code of Conduct (Code) and a Register of Lobbyists (Register).

Under the Code:
- A lobbyist is anyone or any organisation conducting lobbying activities for a third-party client.
- Lobbyists must comply with the Code when engaging in lobbying activities.
- Lobbyists must register with the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet (CM&C) to be listed on the Register.
- Lobbyists cannot conduct lobbying activities with Ministers until they have been listed on the Register.
- Following successful registration, lobbyists must inform CM&C within 10 business days of any significant information change.
Apply to be listed
Lobbyists must submit an approved form to be listed on the Register.

Lobbyists Watch List
CM&C keeps a Lobbyists Watch List with the names and details of lobbyists who have violated the Code.
