Aboriginal Interpreter Service privacy policy

The Aboriginal Interpreter Service provides interpreting to a range of professional and government services. The Aboriginal Interpreter Service, as part of the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet, respects and is committed to safeguarding the confidentiality and privacy of all persons who utilise our interpreter services.

The Aboriginal Interpreter Service will, from time to time, receive and store personal information you enter on our website or given to us in other forms. When you provide personal information to us you will be consenting to the information you provide being used by the Aboriginal Interpreter Service and the department to provide you with a service. By knowing you and your needs through the collection of your personal information we will be able to provide you with the most appropriate and helpful service.

We manage personal information in accordance with the Information Privacy Principles (IPP) in the Information Act 2002 (NT), which regulates how organisations may collect, use, disclose and store personal information and how individuals may access and correct personal information held about them.
