Building more homes
HomeGrown Territory grants extended $50,000 for first home buyers, $30,000 FreshStart grant for new builds

The HomeGrown Territory grant offers $50,000 for first-home buyers to put towards building or buying a new home.

The FreshStart new home grant offers $30,000 to buy or build a new home and is available to existing home owners.

You can also use for a new transportable home, if it's permanently fixed and legally approved to be lived in.

New electrical regulatory reforms supporting Territory trades and businesses

The Electrical Safety Regulator removes the requirement to complete and sign a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) as required under section 41 of the Act for ‘like-for-like’ electrical work, commencing 1 January 2026.

Five-day 54km fully guided walk journeying deep into the desert, staying exclusively inside the World-Heritage listed Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park each night.

Supporting flood recovery

InitiativeDescription
New $100M Flood Recovery Fund

The Flood Recovery Fund will prioritise rebuilding roads, bridges and flood mitigation works.

It will be delivered through a staged approach, with an initial allocation to rebuild roads and other key infrastructure damaged during the flooding events and a further allocation to focus on long-term resilience, including building better roads, bridges and flood mitigation infrastructure to reduce the future impacts of floods.
