Applications are now open for the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet (CMC) and Department of Treasury and Finance’s (DTF) 2026 graduate program.

Our graduate program is specifically designed to develop future leaders.

CMC is the lead central agency that supports the Chief Minister, Cabinet and other government stakeholders in the delivery of government’s priorities.

DTF is the key central agency providing financial, economic and commercial advice to government.

Our graduates get:

  • full-time employment for 12 months
  • $71,746 per year
  • to work on high-level projects
  • structured training
  • guidance from mentors in senior positions
  • an understanding of how government operates.

You will start on a competitive salary and will be eligible for financial assistance if you need to relocate to Darwin for the duration of the program.

To be considered for the program, you must:

  • completed this year or have completed a Bachelor degree or higher at an Australian university in the last 3 years
  • have strong analytical and research skills
  • have the ability to work as part of a team.

Applicants from both interstate and the Northern Territory are encouraged to apply.

Applications close: 13 April 2025.

Successful graduates anticipated to commence: January 2026.
