About the Remuneration Tribunal
The Remuneration Tribunal is an independent statutory body that undertakes inquiries into the remuneration and entitlements of key Northern Territory (NT) office holders.
The Tribunal’s reports and determinations are tabled in the NT Legislative Assembly.
The Tribunal does not have a role in setting salaries for NT Supreme Court Judges, as these are linked to Federal Court Judge salaries.
Annual Inquiry – entitlements of Assembly members
The Remuneration Tribunal has commenced its inquiry into the entitlements of Members of the Legislative Assembly for 2021 with submissions due by 11 June 2021.
The Remuneration Tribunal completed the inquiry into salary, entitlements and conditions of employment for staff of Members of the Legislative Assembly which was tabled in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly Sittings on Thursday, 13 May 2021.
The Determination commences 1 July 2021 and a copy can be found in the Remuneration Tribunal Reports, Recommendations and Determinations webpage.
Annual Inquiry – entitlements of Local Court Judges
The Remuneration Tribunal has commenced its inquiry into the entitlements of Local Court Judges for 2021 with submissions due by 21 June 2021.
