About the Remuneration Tribunal
The Remuneration Tribunal is an independent statutory body that undertakes inquiries into the remuneration and entitlements of key Northern Territory (NT) office holders.
The Tribunal’s reports and determinations are tabled in the NT Legislative Assembly.
The Tribunal does not have a role in setting salaries for NT Supreme Court Judges, as these are linked to Federal Court Judge salaries.
Annual Inquiry – entitlements of Assembly members
The Remuneration Tribunal has concluded its inquiry into the entitlements of Members of the Legislative Assembly.
The Report and Determination was tabled on 21 October 2020 during the Legislative Assembly Sittings.
The Remuneration Tribunal will conduct an inquiry into salary, entitlements and conditions of employment for staff of Members of the Legislative Assembly.
The Report and Determination is to be completed on or before 22 April 2021.
Annual Inquiry – entitlements of Local Court Judges
The Remuneration Tribunal recently completed its inquiry into the entitlements of Local Court Judges.
The Report and Determination was tabled on 24 June 2020 during the Legislative Assembly Sittings.
