A diverse group of arts professionals have been appointed to help with funding and policy decisions to facilitate the Territory Government’s arts and culture program.

Twenty-one new arts peers have been appointed for three-year terms to the Arts NT Register of Peers. A further 10 have been reappointed.

The Register of Peers provides a resource of experienced arts professionals to assist with funding rounds, policy consultation and working groups, which allows industry to determine the best value for money and equitable disbursement of arts funding through the annual NT Arts and Culture Grants Programs.

New arts peers were selected through expression-of-interest and self-nomination processes.

Amongst the new members are Darwin street artist Polly Johnstone; arts worker and visual artist Dellina Inkamala from Alice Springs; singer-songwriter David Garnham from Darwin; and arts manager Mel George from Ramingining.

The full Register of Peers is published here.
