Four years sees 750th cargo depart from Darwin’s INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG

Published

October saw the 750th cargo produced by INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG depart Darwin on the Pacific Breeze, the same vessel which carried the first LNG cargo, nearly four years ago.

The Ichthys LNG project is notably ranked as one of the most significant oil and gas projects in the world, currently Australia’s leading producer of LPG and fourth largest producer of LNG.

The project is estimated to deliver $87.1 billion in gross territory product impact across 2020–2030, an average $7.9 billion per annum, according to ACIL Allen’ s social and economic impact assessment 2020–2030.
